Spyderco Delica 4 – Quick Look

Colorado-based Spyderco has been one of the most trusted knife brands since 1981, and their Delica series—first introduced in 1990—has always been among their most popular and bestselling knives. So the Spyderco Delica 4 is the latest in a long line of great, reliable knives. It’s also one that lives up to the standards set by its forefathers while adding a little something new. In addition to a couple different edge options (plain edge or a partially serrated combo edge) you can choose among seven handle colors, including pink, hi-visibility orange and classic black.

With a 2.9-inch blade and a 7.1-inch overall length, the Delica 4 looks a lot like a scaled down version of the Spyderco Endura. Its compact size and ultra-light design (the Delica 4 weighs in at just 2.5 oz.) makes it a great everyday carry knife. It opens smoothly and rests easily in hand or pocket. The blade is made of VG-10 steel for easy sharpening and excellent rust resistance, and the handle is textured, slip-free fiberglass-reinforced nylon. Some users have mentioned seeing some play in the locking mechanism, but after heavy use I have not had any issues.
