Over the last few weeks, I have had the opportunity to test out the Vosteed Ankylo pocketknife. This is not my first Vosteed knife, and they have proven to be solid performers with stellar value, so I had high expectations when the Ankylo arrived.
I’ve gotten to be a fan of BPS knives, having spent some time with a couple of their bushcraft knives over the last couple of years, most notably the BPS Adventurer Camping Knife. But the BPS Citizen is something a bit different.
Solar camping lanterns are a great camping item that can also be easily adapted for at-home use. For example, you can keep the Mesqool Solar Hand Crank Camping Lantern around the house in case of power outages. But when it comes to camping situations, does this lamp hold up against the competition?
The real head-turner is that these knives are actually good. And if a Chinese company can make knives that are competitively priced and high enough quality to play with the big boys, there’s no reason they shouldn’t deserve a place at the table. That’s the free market, baby.
Multi-tools are everywhere. They offer a head-swimming array of functions, and are available in an equally wide quality range. I’ve been known to criticize multi-tools on occasion, but there are some great ones out there as well as plenty of bona fide duds.
